![]() ![]() ![]() Any feedback on them? Any new developments on the 43x aftermarket mag front? There was another brand slated to make 43x mags, but I don't recall who. Anyone have feedback on this? Does it make much of a difference? I suspect that the length difference for shootability is somewhat mitigated by the red dot - the sight radius no longer matters.ĮDIT: Wonder how the Sig 365 Macro changes this conversation. How easy to shoot is the gun compared to a G19? I suspect its snappier and a little harder to shoot at distance, say 25 yards. If the Surefire light was 500 lumens, I'd probably go with that. What are the best ones? Either Surefire or Streamlight and Holosun or Trijicon. Doesn't seem like there are a ton of options out there. I want to put a red dot on it and am considering a weapons light. I suspect that the G43x will carry much more comfortably than a G19. Glock should follow the premise of that magazine on future guns! I wonder how many rounds they could fit into the guns that are 2" wide. 15 rounds with the aftermarket mags at that size is pretty awesome. So I carry a WCP 320 Carry in the Enigma system, gun has the 21rd mag in it and I carry an extra 21rd mag as well.Heavily considering the G43x MOS for AIWB carry. I'm 6'1 and about 185/190, so I'm not exactly a huge dude either. Thought weight of gun hasn't ever bothered me. Though this Enigma system does that well enough that I won't even consider the Urban Carry this time.ĭon't think I'd have an interest in a small gun now, it is just a big WHY, when you can completely conceal full size capacity guns. I tell you, for as much shit as they get, I had the Urban Carry G3 for my 1911 and I liked that too, sure, it was going to cost you a little on draw to first shot, but she's concealed, and it was very comfortable too, great for those "I cannot let my firearm be seen, period," moments. no problem whatsoever and I've got 13 more rounds in this combo. With a light cotton T shirt, from 8+1 to 21+1 just like that, that was my introduction into how my 320 would carry vs my 1911. I sound like a fangirl, but the thing just hit magic level when I first put it on, threw in my 320 with the 21 round mag, tucked my undershirt in, "just to see," and saw that it disappeared. So you can go from suit wearing job duty to Jogger shorts and a Tshirt and run the same carry rig, you don't need to shrink down the gun or pocket carry or whatever to suit the activity. You don't need to remove it to go to the bathroom, you don't need a belt on your pants if you don't want, wear jogging shorts if that's your thing. Also have Tier One's strong side, though that ain't going great, tried about 10,000 different configurations and it still isn't worthwhile but I'm still working on it.īut this Enigma system makes carrying fuller size guns cake, I get my slide is the carry 3.9" but the slide isn't the worry, I have the full-size Wilson grip which has a bit of mag flare on the end as well, and I also have the long 21 round mag in it. I still have a Tier One AIWB on the way, went Aegis Elite this time, really just for the hell of it. ![]() I don't cheap out on holsters.Īnyways, now I carry a WCP 320 Carry with the 21 round mag in this Enigma system, it's crazy comfortable and I can conceal this thing with a tucked in shirt. I decided to try the Enigma system, came from carrying a 3" 1911 in a Tier One Axis Slim, also carried it in an Invisituck extreme tuck at times, had Milt Sparks for it etc. How do you conceal and what do you want in a gun? Of course, I'm only talking about pistols large enough to be effective in a self defense engagement. The thinness of the 43x and 48 make them more comfortable to conceal in my opinion than anything else I've tried. Some would obviously point out the additional barrel length, but I've never had a problem concealing barrel length. You can get a full hand grip on either the 43x or 48. It is definitely easier to aim well and quickly. I prefer the G48 over the G43x due to the longer sight radius. I switched over to the SA-15s and it hasn't had a single hitch in it's giddy up. I personally think the G48 is the best combination of size, ease of carry and capability. To me the G43 is too small to have to rely on in a serious situation. I have carried the 320Xcarry, G43x, G43, G48 plus a bunch of larger frame pistols when the weather cooperates. Think "Don't be a Menace to Society While Drinking your Juice in the Hood". Now, I change my CCW frequently to match my shoes. ![]() When I switched to something much better, the back problems were mostly alleviated. I however was slow to accept that good holsters make a difference (plus I was a poor with three kids and junior military pay) and using a size 15 Uncle Mikes for so long had a detrimental affect on my back. I too carried a G19 for years and never had any real complaints with it. ![]()
